SoftAtHome has been shortlisted twice this year at the CSI awards in the Best Network Delivery Technology category for its Multicast adaptive streaming technology at home, and the Best Monitoring Solution category for its Eyes’On QoE diagnosis solution. Opening the era of the Super aggregator
Operators have a central role to play in the content industry by becoming super-aggregators at a time when premium video streaming application providers are very active. SoftAtHome designed a solution that bundles live, and on-demand content from major content owners. It aggregates billions of metadata for better immersive content discovery and targeted suggestions. It delivers a responsive multiscreen experience to access this rich content and natively integrates a voice experience.
Multicast-ABR with SoftAtHome
Based on the new DVB mABR (multicast Adaptive Bit Rate) standard, this solution allows operators to distribute low-latency live content to all devices within the home by leveraging their existing IP multicast network. Thanks to this solution, distribution costs are slashed as all devices, including consumer OTT devices, can be reached with no modification. The solution also integrates standard DRM for the best content security.
A full RDK-V based solution, available off-the-shelf
Subscribers expect to have access to more and more services from different video platforms. SoftAtHome simplifies RDK-V deployments and proposes its off-the-shelf solution that integrates multicast, DVB, live DASH streaming, voice control, user-friendly TV ad experience, and premium video streaming apps such as Netflix, Prime Video or YouTube.
