IBC 2017: SoftAtHome Presents the Best of AI and TV Services
SoftAtHome solutions enhanced with new YouTube app and audio features, shortlisted three times at CSI 2017, will be shown on booth 5A51.
IBC 2017, Amsterdam – 14 September 2017 – SoftAtHome (stand 5A51), the software provider for operator CPE devices enabling convergent services for the digital home, innovates this year at IBC with exciting operator-focused IoT and Personal Assistant solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). SoftAtHome also demonstrates the leading Czech operator O2’s newly deployed VDSL3 gateway, powered by SoftAtHome’s SOP8 software, bringing Wi-Fi performance and smart home device control.

SoftAtHome and KaonMedia jointly developed an AI-based Assistant that will become end-user’s new friend-at-home, integrating Nuance and Alexa speech recognition and designed for seamlessly delivering the best of Home services.
AI-based Assistant combines advanced Video features, voice control, connected speakers and full control of connected devices at home. SoftAtHome is also demonstrating the second range of smart devices, providing new voice enabled services, such as energy control based on smart metering solutions as well as simple yet useful services like weather or traffic info.
Exciting new features for a better TV experience
SoftAtHome will demonstrate several new exclusive premium Set-Top-Box features, including a YouTube certified Browser in addition to a certified Netflix app for greater VOD catalogue diversity. Bluetooth Audio Streaming to headsets or soundbars as well as an audio-enabled remote control will be demonstrated. Users will be able to listen to TV without disturbing their family, or listen to their favourite music streamed from the Set-Top-Box.
IoT deployment
O2 in the Czech Republic recently launched an elegant new box that will be a star on SoftAtHome stand. This new solution brings better control over home Wi-Fi, home security, IoT services with remote control for home appliances and lights, fire alarms, with other services to be announced soon. The new box addresses Wi-Fi quality and performance issues by giving customers the ability to better control their network and manage their connected home devices.
SoftAtHome has been shortlisted three times for this year’s CSI awards: Best Interactive TV Technology with Orange for TV Lights, Best Customer Premise Technology for SoftAtHome’s AI Assistant, as well as Best Content Protection Technology for its Home Cyber Protector. CSI award winners will be announced on Friday 15th September.
