IBC 2016: SoftAtHome Demonstrates Orange’s New Livebox, Immersive 360° TV and Presents SOP8 new Features

SoftAtHome solutions, shortlisted twice at CSI 2016 awards, reach the new milestone of 30 million licences.

IBC 2016, Amsterdam – August 31^st, 2016 – SoftAtHome (stand 5A51), a software provider for operator CPE devices enabling convergent services for the digital home, will showcase several innovations this year at IBC. Orange’s New Livebox will be shown in Ultra HD, powered by SoftAtHome’s SOP7 software. A video experience with VR360° on TV will be demonstrated and a Convergence demo, illustrating how TV screens can be transformed into advanced services portals, will also be shown.

The New Livebox for the first time outside France

SoftAtHome will showcase Orange’s New Livebox, outside France for the first time, powered by its SOP7 software. With SoftAtHome solutions, the New Livebox becomes the digital heart of the house to transform living rooms into cinemas. These include Ultra HD programs with next-generation audio, apps and digital home services, extended Wi-Fi, latest security features, a plug and play NAS server and over 300 games.

Exclusive demos for an astonishing VR360° immersive experience

The demo will provide a sneak peak of SOP8, our next-generation software that enables 360° video, an immersive HDR TV experience and the convergence of operator services. SOP8 runs on any CPE, enables the best Cloud solutions and brings Digital Home / IoT Services into a single access-technology-agnostic software stack. SOP8 is the operator’s guarantee of a future-proof ecosystem.

On Stand 5A51, in an exclusive demo room, SoftAtHome will invite visitors to live a VR360° immersive experience with its ScreenAtHome solution. This delivers an advanced innovative experience combining Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos and an impressive lighting experience controlled by the set-top box.
